Ram Gopal Varma's interviews attract eyeballs. Whether or not he makes sense, the controversial filmmaker's views are widely sought.
Days after the announcement of 'Murder', based on the Amrutha-Pranay-Maruthi Rao saga, IndiaGlitz interviewed the 'Lakshmi's NTR' director. We asked him about what different terms mean. Read on to know what terms like sex and girlfriend, controversy and porn mean to RGV.
Naked: Something that is pure without any hypocrisy.
Porn: I love it.
Sex: It's much like porn. A difference is that porn is always satisfactory because you can fast-forward it at will. That's not possible with sex.
Threat to life: Years ago, someone told me everyone, regardless of his position, gets up and brushes in the morning. Everyone is ordinary. You are as powerful as me and I am as powerful as you.
Nepotism: It's a great thing without which the societal structure will collapse. It's about 'my family', 'my sibling', 'my daughter', 'my son', etc. If my daughter wants to act in movies, I will try to use my contacts to help her realize her dream. Powerful people try to use their clout over subordinates. That is there in politics, in families, in films. A big producer wields his influence over small producers. What else do you expect? He is the big brother, the elephant. That's the hierarchy. Don't you see your maid as inferior to you? Don't you use the power of hierarchy there?
In the Telugu film industry, they point fingers at Suresh Babu, Allu Arjun and Dil Raju. Their size in the pie is not so significant. People are just jealous of them.
Underworld: It has given me more than what my mother could ever give me. It's because of the underworld that my film career exists.
Underworld never ruled movies. It's a criminal organization and such shady things are there in every business. In fact, the film industry has less of the underworld.
Girl: She who makes my heart blossom.
Girlfriend: I don't know because I never had a girlfriend. A friend is needed only if you need an emotional anchor to share problems with. I never share my problems with anyone. Moreover, the problem is that friends seek help. For me, it's a financial decision not to have a friend.
Live-in: Better than marriage but it has the danger of leading to marriage.
Suicide: Something that is acceptable only if you are bored with life. Nothing else justifies it.
Murder: It's despicable because you have no right to take somebody else's life.
Controversy: It's cacophonous. Nobody takes controversies seriously because they are all laughable and silly.
