Production designer Raveendar (alternatively spelled as Ravinder Reddy) is poised to become the talk of the town after the theatrical release of 'Radhe Shyam' on March 11. After all, he has created unique set pieces for the movie to bring to life the 1970s Europe.

IndiaGlitz interacted with Raveendar, who is known for 'Eega' and 'Magadheera' as well, about the costs involved. He asked the interviewer RJ Mahi to guess the investment that went into the sets. When he said Rs 75 Cr, the production designer suggested that the figure is too less. That said, Raveendar refused to give a precise figure. "It's not easy to fragment things and say how much cost was involved. You will understand it when you watch the movie," he said.
UV Creations, the production designer added, never minded investing as much as required. 'Saaho' was his previous big venture.
When 'Adipurush' could be shot in 100 days, why did 'Radhe Shyam' take so much time? "A lot of 'Adipurush', as far as I know, involves CG work. 'Radhe Shyam' is a different film altogether. It was shot live," Raveendar added.
He also spoke about not working with SS Rajamouli in recent years. "When 'Baahubali' happened, I was busy with seven projects. I would wish to work with all directors, big and small. I wanted to gain experience by working on a variety of genres instead of only action movies. Love stories, period movies, they all interest me. The producer of 'Baahubali', Shobu Yarlagadda garu who I am close to, told me that I would have to work only on 'Baahubali' if I accepted the offer. I get his reason, given the scale of the project. By then, I had accepted a handful of projects already. So, I had to forego 'Baahubali'," Raveendar said.
