Prasanth Varma is not content with making experimental films like 'AWE'. He wants to try out-and-out commercial films as well.
"I want to do a proper commercial entertainer with Balakrishna garu. If everything falls into place, I will do that in the future," the young director tells IndiaGlitz.
"Having grown up in Palakollu, I was awed by the larger-than-life cut-outs of Chiranjeevi garu as a child. I got an opportunity to narrate a story to him just when 'AWE' was starting. But it's not easy to make a film with him, given that he is such a big star. It may not happen immediately, but I will try," he says.
"Film direction is 90 percent about satisfying your hero. It's 10 percent about technical knowledge. At some point, I wish to work with the likes of Venkatesh garu, Nagarjuna garu, and others. I know Venky garu personally. I may end up doing a multi-starrer with these stars," he laughs.
'AWE', produced by Nani, is doing pretty well in Nizam territory and the US.
