Former Mumbai Indians cricketer and Under-19 World Cup-winning captain Unmukt Chand got married to fiancée Simran Khosla, who is a fitness trainer and nutrition coach, on Sunday.
The event was reportedly a private affair attended by a few close friends and relatives. Sharing pictures from the wedding ceremony, the player captioned his post, “Today, we decided on forever! 21/11/21.” Simran posted a couple of videos from the celebrations on her Instagram handle as well. Unmukt Chand became popular across the nation after guiding India to victory in the 2012 U-19 World Cup. The young cricketer, who captained the India A side, had previously played for Delhi Dardevils and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Unmukt Chand announced his retirement from Indian cricket in August this year and moved to the United States to play in the Minor League. “The very thought of not being able to represent my country again literally stops my heartbeat for a while. Winning the U-19 World cup for India is one of the biggest moments of my life. It was a special feeling to lift the cup as a captain and bring smiles to so many Indians across the world. I can never forget that feeling,” he had stated back then.
Today, we decided on forever!
