"Literally what is going on? Is this being investigated at all? 'From Bihar to Haryana, visuals of vehicles full of EVMs near strongrooms cause panic, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra issues audio appeal'," says one of the latest tweets by Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker, who believes that the election process has been compromised ahead of the counting day (May 23).

Similar allegations have been made by RJD politicians in Bihar. In Uttar Pradesh, a similar incident of EVMs being moved to a strongroom have been heard.

Columnist Ravi Nair says that in Haryana’s Fatehabad, a truckload of EVMs was on Monday moved to a strong room without any verification of documents. "As per the EC guidelines, till counting is over, any to and fro movement of EVMs (to/from strong rooms) should be in the presence of political party representatives," he writes.

As per some reports, EVMs being moved after the elections are actually reserve EVMs.

Says Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta, pooh-poohing what appears to be organized rumour-mongering, "If the Exit Poll results are broadly confirmed on May 23, the losers will create a stink over EVMs. Twitter posts have already begun peddling stories about EVMs being changed. Their determination to stop Modi is undiminished. The old order will not give up so easily. Be vigilant."
