EVMs can be problematic, says Rahul Gandhi

Congress President Rahul Gandhi has said that Electronic Voting Machines can very much be manipulated. Doubts over them have to be cleared.

"There are issues with EVMs universally. If the people in India are uncomfortable with them, then it's a big issue which needs to be addressed. The central issue of EVMs is still there. If the chip is manipulated you can affect the entire voting system, that's not possible with manual voting. This is a question that has been answered in the US and certain other countries where they have said that we don't want an EVM," Rahul has said.

In recent past, the party had carried out a propaganda against the BJP, saying that it's winning elections in States like Uttar Pradesh by manipulating EVMs. With MP, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan going for Congress on Tuesday, Rahul has stopped making allegations against the BJP but has only said that EVMs can be problematic.
