Ravi Teja's film with Sreenu Vytla, to be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, was on Thursday formally launched. As is known, 'Amar Akbar Anthony' is the title. Anu Emmanuel is the heroine.

The director-hero duo has previously done 'Nee Kosam', 'Venky', 'Dubai Seenu'; and, after a gap of years, they are back.

"I am very excited to work with my hero. This project took birth a year back. A simple one-minute idea was expanded into a full-fledged script in 10 months with the help of a hardworking team. A lot of effort went into turning it into a script," says Vaitla.

Almost all the film will be shot in the US. An Indian schedule will be of just 10 days span. "We are going to shoot in New York, Detroit, Salt Lake City and a number of other locations. This will be possible because of the groundwork already done by our well-networked producers," the director adds.

Comedian-turned-hero Sunil will be seen in a full-fledged role, while yesteryear heroine Laya, her daughter Shloka are also part of the cast. Ravi Teja`s son Mahadhan will have a "superb role".

"This film had all the ingredients to take the stardom of our hero and director to next level. We thank Vaitla's daughters Anandi and Aadhya for being present today for the muhurtham shot While Srinu Vytla's elder daughter Anandi Vytla sounded the clapboard, his second daughter Aadhya Vytla switched on the camera as the first shot was directed by Vaitla himself after receiving the bound script from his hero," informed producers Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri.

Also starring Abhimanyu Singh, Tarun Arora, Vikram Jeet Singh, Rajveer Singh, Shiyaji Shinde, Aditya Menon, Vennela Kishore, Sathya, Jayaprakash Reddy, S kalaka Shankar, Shubhalekha Sudhakar, Divya Unni, Sejoy Varghese, Mathew Varghese, Bharat Reddy, and Giridhar.

The story is by Vaitla and Vamsi Rajesh Kondaveeti. Screenplay and dialogues are by the director himself.

Music is by Thaman. Vijay C Dileep is the cinematographer. Editing is by MR Varma. Art Direction is by AS Prakash. Lyrics are by Ramajogayya Shastri. Praveen Varma, and Kollipara Praveen are the script assistants.
