Congress leader and parliamentarian Rahul Gandhi is today in his constituency in Kerala, Wayanad. Addressing a crowd there, he said that India is known as the rape capital of the world.

During his speech, he attacked the BJP-led government at the Centre for not addressing the issue of women's security. "Foreign nations are asking the question as to why India is unable to look after its daughters and sisters. An Uttar Pradesh MLA of BJP is involved in the rape of a woman and the Prime Minister doesn't say a single word," Rahul said.

Meanwhile, there is this speculation that Rahul might make a comeback as the President of his party. He had resigned for the post soon after the election results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were out.
