A new trailer has been released by Universal Pictures for their upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal`s mountain climbing thriller 'Everest'.

We get to see breathtaking footage of the world's highest mountain. The trailer then cuts ti mountaineers and climbers in a snowstorm amidst dangerous blizzard conditions.

'Everest' is directed by Baltasar Kormákur and highlights the 1996 multi-expedition on Mount Everest that eventually left eight climbers dead.

In addition to Jake Gyllenhaal, the film boasts a talented star cast with names such as Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley and Emily Watson.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, Brian Oliver and Tyler Thompson of Cross Creek as well as Nicky Kentish Barnes are producing the film.

'Everest' is scheduled to hit theatres on September 18, 2015.
