When 'Gulaab Gang' came her way, one of the core requirements for Madhuri Dixit was to get into the action mode. For someone who had not indulged in any serious action in a career spanning over 25 years, it may have seemed like a massive challenge. However, to the surprise of all involved, she not just perfected her kicks and punches, she also went on to learn it all professionally.

"On the sets, she had a Guru (Kanishka Sharma) to teach her hand to hand combat. So what you see in 'Gulaab Gang' isn't there just for the screen; it is for the keeps. As a matter of fact, she is all set to take forward her action training to the next level," informs a source close to the actress.

It was a matter of pulling herself into the groove and do whatever it takes. The first thing she did was to mentally prepare herself that action was nothing but a different form of choreography. With dance being one of her many strong points, it didn't take long for Madhuri to get her body in action. Pun intended.

"I was very excited about the action for 'Gulaab Gang'. I somehow feel that action is very close to dance. After all both are choreographed and there is a lot of rhythm and synchronization. It is like 'One, Two, Three', and you are on," says Madhuri, "Once I started enjoying it just like dancing, I found myself in a groove. The kicks and punches had to look real and they do indeed."

We would love to see this new avtar of Madhuri once this Anubhav Sinha production, which is presented by Sahara Movie Studios and Bharat Shah, releases all over on 7th March.
