Eva Mendes, a versatile actress and mother of two daughters with Ryan Gosling, recently gave her thoughts on kids having Internet access. In an Instagram post, she playfully shook her head and fingers like this when talking to her kids about wanting to go onto the internet or use social media. Eva Mendes feels it's too risky for children and compares it to other things they're not allowed to do, like drink, vote, or get a driver's license.
Netizens had mixed reactions, with some pointing out that it's the Internet century and access to the internet is almost inevitable. Mendes acknowledged this but reiterated that in her house, children don't have access to the internet. She sees the internet, especially social media, falling into the category of things not suitable for young children. However, she keeps an open mind and plans to observe her daughters' development before deciding on an age for internet access.
While Mendes restricts internet use, she does let her kids watch films on an iPad, where she's downloaded movies for them to watch. The iPad doesn't have internet access.
Eva Mendes and actor Ryan Gosling met during the making of "The Place Beyond the Pines" in 2011. They started dating soon after. The pair has two daughters together, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, born in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Ryan Gosling starred recently in the blockbuster fantasy comedy film "Barbie."
