'Eththan' postponed

'Eththan' failed to hit the screens this Friday as promised. The film will be able to see the light of the day only on May 27, but in a much bigger way, trade pundits of K-town say.

Producer Nazir had to honour some financial commitments before releasing the film. Also, he is planning to release the movie in maximum number of theatres possible. So the film's release was postponed, they say.

Directed by debutant Suresh (a former associate of Balu Mahendra), 'Eththan' has Vimal and Sanusha in lead roles. This is the second time for Vimal and producer Nazir to come together, after delivering a surprise hit in 'Kalavani'.

Eththan is about a carefree youngster (played by Vimal) who borrows money to meet his expenses. This leads to a problem. How he resolves it is narrated in a hilarious way, we learn.
