Keeping in tune with the latest trend of fast paced films with peppy numbers, director K S Ravikumar has come up with a commercial  entertainer 'Ethiree' which has all the ingredients to appeal to a movie- goer.
Ravikumar is known in the trade for his prowess to roll out 'masala' movies. 'Ethiree' is one such with a perfect mix of humour and sentiment, though with a loose screenplay.
Madhavan, who proved himself to be a good actor, after his roles in movies like Kannathil Muthamittal and Anbae Sivam, has done his best donning a humourous role. Along with Vivek, he doubles up for providing humour all through the film. Ethiree is likely to bring laurels for Maddy.
Sadha, Delhi Ganesh and Kanika are also in the cast.
Sadha looks pretty and has come up with a good performance while Five Star-fame Kanika plays a glamorous role in the film.
Vivek playing the role of an auto-driver mimes a few actors which though evokes laughter among the audience, is at times irritating.
Delhi Ganesh, playing Kanika's father deserves all appreciation for his casual expressions and good dialogue deivery.
The movie is about how Madhavan manages to fool a house-owner and stays in his house. There enters Sadha, daughter of an influential politician. The rest is how Maddy saves her and finally hold her hand.
The biggest disappointment has been the ordinary musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
