Is Suriya’s ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ an out and out comedy film? – Check surprise clue

Suriya after a brief lull in his career has bounced back strongly delivering two back to back critically acclaimed films ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and ‘Jai Bhim’ with both also attaining blockbuster status on Amazon Prime Video.  The Anbana Fans are eagerly awaiting his next ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ which is complete and is in postproduction.

The first look posters of ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ had Suriya in angry looks toting a gun and a sword that clearly gave the impression that the genre his high octane raw action.  But the recent  official update has thrown a complete shocker of sorts that the film could on the contrary be an out and out laugh riot.

On November 10th it was officially announced that ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ is wrapped up.  On the final day a cake was cut in the presence of Suriya and the rest of the cast and crew.  The writing on the cake is “Get Ready to ROFL (Roll on the floor laughing)”.  It is a giveaway that Suriya fans are in for a different kind of treat than what they have been celebrating in his last two films.

‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ directed by Pandiraj and produced by Sun Pictures has music by D. Imman.  The ensemble cast comprises Suriya,Vinay Rai, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Saranya Ponvannan, Soori, M. S. Bhaskar, Jayaprakash,
Devadarshini, Subbu Panchu, Ilavarasu, Redin Kingsley, Thanga Durai, KPY Ramar,
Saran Shakthi, Ciby Bhuvana Chandran, and Akash Premkumar.  A festive release date is eyed and will be announced in the coming weeks.
