Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani Announce Separation After 11 Years

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani married in 2012 at an Iskcon temple with close family and friends. However, it was after 11 years that the couple decided to call it quits. Esha released a statement and requested privacy. She said that the couple had amicably decided to part ways. The couple has two children together, and the news has come as a shock for most of them.

One might recall that in her book Amma Mia, Esha once said that Bharat got a little distanced after the arrival of their second daughter. She noticed he was being cranky and realized that he felt she wasn't giving him enough attention amidst her responsibilities with the children.

Esha remembered moments such as forgetting to buy a toothbrush that he had asked for or not ironing his shirts and quickly rectifying her oversight. It dawned on her that the two of them hadn't been going out together in quite some time, hadn't gone on date nights, or gone to the movies, and it was time to make amends and spend quality time together.

Since Bharat was not seen at many of the events Esha attended recently, even at Hema Malini's birthday event, the rumors of their split hit a few months ago. Netizens at Rediff had started discussing his absence, leading to the rumors.
