Eros International announced that it has acquired the global distribution rights of Nikhil Advani's film, Salaam-E-Ishq (A Tribute To Love), which released worldwide release on 25th January 2007.

‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ is Nikhil Advani's second directorial venture after the hugely successful ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003), which grossed over US$ 13 million. Nikhil's earlier projects as Assistant Director include ‘Kabhi Khushi Khabhi Gham’ (2001), which to date is one of the highest grossing Bollywood film internationally.

Eros launched its Indian cinema distribution arm earlier this year with the global release of 'Omkara', a powerful Indian adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello. The film received a positive response grossing more than $6.7 million globally at the box-office in the first week of release.

"Nikhil Advani has a wonderful ability to connect emotionally with the audience and capture their imagination. All his films are visually spectacular and we are delighted to be working with him. We are equally excited about working with Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja on the global release of Salaam-E-Ishq as well as their forthcoming ventures", said Jyoti Deshpande, Group COO & Commercial Director, Eros International plc.
