The Coronavirus pandemic has been having a massive impact on the whole of India and Tamil Nadu is one of the worst affected states of the country with close to 10000 cases. Now, Erode, the first hotspot of Tamil Nadu has turned to a green zone.

Appreciating the efforts of Erode officials, the IPS association tweeted "A hotspot in Tamilnadu, Erode District, under the able leadership of Collector C. Kathiravan and SP S.Sakti Ganesan #IPS has completed 28 days without reporting a new case thus moving into the green zone.

Praising all the officials, actor Karthi has lauded the efforts of doctors, health officials, police and all the frontline warriors as he tweeted "Erode district in TN, India, is first to emerge Green from Red Zone. 32nd day without any new case.
