A man cutting the head of his wife and taking her head and body separately on his bike had created shock in Erode. 28 year old Muniyappan from Perundurai, Erode had got married to 19 year Nivetha from Shimoga, Karnataka, before 7 months, and they had been living in Veppampalayam.

Yesterday Muniyappan had returned home after work, and happened to see that his wife Nivetha was having extra marital affair with a man, and following this the couple had quarrels. Muniyappan had decided to send Nivetha to her parents home, and they started on his bike.

They had an argument during the travel and as the fight turned physical, his ear got injured, and Muniyappan took the knife he had hidden and slit her throat and chopped her head off from her body and took her head and headless body on his bike, and the shocked public called police as he fell down. Police arrived on the spot and arrested Muniyappan and sent Nivetha's body for postmortem.
