As Tamil Nadu has become the second most affected state in our country in terms of the deadly Coronavirus infection, more than 85,000 cases reported already and Chennai constitutes more than 50% of the Coronavirus cases.

While initially, Erode district was announced as a hotspot with maximum number of cases, now the district has become Corona virus free with no new cases of infection reported in the past 28 days, and appreciation has been pouring in for the district administration.

Now, actor and Makkal Needhi maiam president Kamal Haasan has tweeted "Congratulations to Collector Kathiravan, SP Sakthi Ganesan, medical and sanitation workers for transforming Erode from a district with maximum infection to a corona free district. Should we not do what was done in a district, all over Tamil Nadu? It is possible if the government takes effort."
