The Hindi-language film 'Brahmastra', starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, and Akkineni Nagarjuna, is directed by Ayan Mukherji.
The news is that the film is not releasing this Christmas. "We want to bring out the best cinematic experience in terms of visuals and sound. Our VFX teams are on the job of giving a film that our movie-loving country can be really proud of. We had set ourselves a target. But in view of the VFX works involved, we are moving away from Christmas. The new release date is sometime in Summer 2020. The final date will be released later," a note from the makers says.
A trilogy, 'Brahmastra' will also be released in a big way in Telugu and Tamil. The VFX-heavy movie has been postponed due to the scale of visual effects involved and it reminds one of '2.0'.
