Teri Meherbaniyan
Well this dog named Brownie in the 1995 movie starring Jackie Shroff (sorry..not in the lead) scored all the brownie' points in the movie. This b-town unique action hero turned a superstar overnight by avenging his masters' death in the film with such great conviction and emotion making the audience in tears when he visits its master's grave.
Hum Apke Hain Kaun (HAHK)
The cult bollywood trendsetting dhamaka celebrated its 20th year yesterday but the memories of cute lovable Pomeranian called Tuffy still remains. Tuffy has a major role during the pre climax making the audience clap for this four legged chap in white furry.
Tuffy became so popular that Madhuri Dixit Nene couldn,t resist and adopted him.
Bol Radha Bol
This is unique. A double role of a pet. Yes this 1992 flick starring Rishi Kapoor in lead is a perfect example of Dog being the best friend of man and a teacher to mankind. The movie shows Rishi Kapoor struggling to deal with his enemies who have brought his duplicate to occupy his wealth. Rishi beats up Moti - this pet dog as he thinks the dog has betrayed him by not identifying him, but actually the villains have bought a replacement of Moti as well, and it was that stranger dog that barked at Rishi when he was trying to prove his real identity. Even after getting a bad beating Moti remains quiet and doesn't retaliate. A tear jerker moment for all ages.
Maa
Dobby is the only one who can see his dead master Mamta (Jaya Prada) murdered by relatives of her husband played by Jeentendra. The ghost of Mamta seeks revenge to save her son. The emotionally charged up scenes where the ghost of Mamta helplessly watches her infant son being tortured and Dobby coming in for rescue following Mamta's instructions and how Dobby helps his master Mamta to take her revenge got it audience in emotional splits.
Chillar Party
This National award winner didn't had a super dog but the story revolved around the bound of friendship and commitment centering a dog named aptly named Bhidu' (meaning Buddy in Mumbai accent).

This latest Akshay Kumar money spinner saw a Labrador in the movie's pivotal scene where he uses him and his sister's dupatta, to reach the terrorist's hideout.
