In a spectacular match at Lord's on Monday, India beat England by 151 runs to win the second Test and take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. The England team was bowled out for 120 in 51.5 overs despite the chances of the same having been lean at the beginning of the day.
Team India made a remarkable comeback on Day 5 of the Test as England was expected to win the match going into the day after having restricted India to 181 for 6. Apart from the bowlers' impressive action throughout both the innings, KL Rahul was declared man of the match for his brilliant 129 runs in India's first innings. During the first session of Day 3, the batsman was fielding at the third man boundary in the 69th over when a section of the England crowd started throwing beer and champagne corks at Rahul. Virat Kohli, who was irked by the incident, then signalled him to throw the corks back at the crowd. A video of the same has surfaced online, with numerous people condemning the spectators' behaviour.
Speaking about the victory, KL Rahul stated during the post-match presentation, "To put on 360 on the board was really crucial, very happy. Been here for a couple of months now and been working really hard on our skills. Even in the first game at Trent Bridge, the batsmen have shown a lot of discipline. That's what you expect with two competitive teams - great skills, and a few words as well. We don't mind some banter. You go after one of our guys and all XI of us will come back."
