Endredrum Punnagai that marks the comeback of director Ahmed whose debut film Vamanam released in 2009, is slated to release on December 20. The film recently went in for censor certification and the certificate issued for the film is U/A.
It is reported that the film was denied a U certificate which suggests it as a movie that can be watched by everyone, owing to glam scenes and some adult rated dialogues. The makers are expected to approach the revising committee for a Universal certification.
It is worth recounting that in the trailer of the film that was released several months back, a particular dialogue uttered by comedian Santhanam who stars in the film faced the ire of a few sections of the society for the obscene meaning it conveyed, and it was had been removed later on.
The film sees actor Jiva pairing up with Trisha for the first time, both of whom have completed a decade in the film industry. Vinay of Unnale Unnale fame acts as Jiva's friend and Andrea is another lead lady. Some of her steamy photos with Jiva were released a few months ago that created a sensation.
The film has music by Harris Jayaraj and Udhayanidhi Stalin is releasing this multi-starrer under his Red Jaint Films banner.
