Of late, celeb endorsers of some products have faced legal repercussions for their choices. The latest to join the list are Virat Kohli and Tamannaah Bhatia.
The news is that the Kerala High Court has sent legal notices to the legendary cricketer for endorsing rummy games. He is the brand ambassador of Mobile Premier League. The court has also sent a notice to the star actress Tamannaah for acting in an ad promoting online rummy.
Although online rummy is not yet unlawful, there is a petition in the HC seeking it to be declared an illegal game. The court has issued notices to the celebs for endorsing that is something legal on the paper. Online rummy has been seen as trapping youngsters into habits of gambling. It has to be seen whether there will be a strong legal case from the prosecution, given that Kohli and Tamannaah have only done what is legitimate.
On the work front, Tamannaah-starrer 'Seetimaarr', starring Gopichand in the lead, is scheduled to hit the screens soon. She plays a Kabaddi coach in the sports drama.
