Metti Oli was a milestone for Thirumurugan, whose popularity shot up to a new high after the mega serial.

He forayed into films with Emttan Magan with Nasser, Bharath, Gopika and Saranya in lead roles. Thankfully, Thirumurugan shot the movie in a brisk pace and has completed shooting for the movie.

A happy Thirumurugan, who is keen to continue his good run in big screen too, says, the movie is all about a strict father and the wayward ways of a son.

Nasser plays the role of a strict father Emttan, who runs a provision shop. Bharath plays his son in the movie. Emttan Magan is the 25th production venture from the famed Sathyajothy Production house in its silver jubilee year.

Nasser says, 'The movie is inspired by incidents in one's daily walk of life, there is the right mix of emotions.'

Thirumurugan’s serials stood out in different relief because they were realistic.

There is every reason to expect that his movie too to be full of life.
