Balaji Productions' 'The Dirty Picture' is facing the consequences of being among the most popular films on the circuit.

On Friday, the unit had to brave the onslaught of a mob that had gathered on the Bidar Fort premises (on the outskirts of Hyderabad, more North Karnataka) where Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan were shooting an intense romantic track.

The police and staff of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) had to intervene to keep the crowd under control.

Says a source, "The Bidar Fort is an extremely exotic location with huge tourism potential. It was the perfect setting, with beautiful Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam in the background. Both Emraan and Vidya had to be rushed into their make-up vans immediately though the crowd proved to be fairly understanding."

Directed by Milan Luthria, 'The Dirty Picture' releases worldwide on December 2.
