Emraan Hashmi talks about a major change in Indian Cinema

It is evident that Indian Cinema is going through massive change. Formula movies with basically the same plot that revolves around the hero aren't going to attract audience in today's time. Which is exactly why filmmakers these days are trying fresh ideas and concepts and innovative ways of storytelling. Actor Emraan Hashmi seems to share the same opinion. He believes that the age of heroes is gone and the audience now care for relatable and flawed characters.

In interview with a leading news outlet, Emraan said, "I have always gravitated towards characters that have certain edge, that break status quo and are gritty. Heroes that have left an impact in cinema are characters that are closer to home and relatable.

"The only way you can make characters more relatable are if they are flawed or have more shades. None of our lives are that easy, especially in today's time. We all in our lives have a moral compass and that doesn't necessarily make us bad people."
