Emotional Shankar breaks silence on escaping big accident

Days after he escaped a tragic accident on the sets of 'Indian 2' at Chennai's EVP Film City, celebrated filmmaker Shankar has finally opened up on Wednesday. Taking to Twitter, the '2.0' maker emotionally remarked that he wished the crane had fallen on him. He lost an assistant director in the accident.
"It is with utmost grief that I am tweeting. Since the tragic incident, I have been in a state of shock and have had sleepless nights over the loss of my Assistant Director and crew. Having missed the crane by a whisker, I feel it would have been better if it was on me. Heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families," South India's biggest director after Rajamouli said.
Besides him, Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal had a providential escape on that fateful night.
The tragedy resulted in three deaths and injuries to 10. It has shaken the Tamil film industry, which is taking steps to ensure workplace safety and insurance for crew members.
