Emerging from the shadows of Manirathinam

It now seems to be the season of Manirathinam's associates keen to make a mark for themselves in the Tamil film industry.

Director Kannan, a trusted lieutenanat of Manirathinam is all excited as his 'Jeyam Kondaan' will hit the screens on Friday. Produced by Sathyajothi Thyagarajan, 'Jeyam Kondaan' features Vinay, Bhavana and Lekha Washington. Similarly Manirathinam's associate Dinesh Selvaraj is making a thriller titled 'Kathi Kappal' which features Meera Vasudevan in key role. The shooting for the movie is almost completed.

Rumours are also abuzz that actress Simran has evinced keen interest to direct films and that she has joined hands with Manirathinam. She is supposedly ready to work as Manirathinam's associate in his forthcoming directorial venture starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai.

I am not sure misunderstood is the right word. I would say they could have watched from different perspectives. People who watched it through Jia found it cute. People who watched it through Bachchan found it sexy and people who watched through Revathy found it very offensive.
