It's known that the US is committed to shipping to India several emergency material meant to add muscle to our country's coronavirus fight. On Friday, the first tranche of shipment arrived.
"The first of several emergency COVID-19 relief shipments from the United States has arrived in India! Building on over 70 years of cooperation, the United States stands with India as we fight the COVID-19 pandemic together," wrote the US Embassy in India.
Two more shipments are scheduled to arrive in four days.
The US will in total send us 1100 O2 cylinders, 1700 O2 concentrators, 15 million N95 masks, 1 million rapid diagnostic tests, 20K doses of Remdesivir, and medical assistance.
Above all, the US will also export 20 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to India.
UK, France, Russia, Singapore, and Switzerland are also helping us out in this hour of crisis.
