Eluru issue: Collector releases report, key facts revealed

It's known that a mystery illness has caused hundreds of hospitalizations in the West Godavari town of Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. On Monday afternoon, the District Collector released a report highlighting the key figures.
Total number of people who have fallen sick: 340 (180 men and 160 women). Of these 307 belong to Eluru Urban. Thirty are from Eluru Rural. Three are from Denduluru.
Number of people currently undergoing treatment: 157
Deaths: 1
Number of patients shifted out of town for better treatment: 14
Number of patients discharged: 168

So far, it hasn't proven to be contagious.
The severity of illness is low.
Losing consciousness is happening only once.
In some households, up to two individuals have fallen sick.
There is no age-group that can be said to be more vulnerable to the illness.
Among the sick are even those who have been consuming mineral water.
As many as 22 water table samples have been tested so far. They are suggested that the quality of water is normal.
52 blood samples have been tested so far. They are normal.
CT scan has been done for 45. Their reports are normal.
9 milk samples that have been tested are normal.
About 191 sick people have been identified by surveying as many as 57,863 houses have been surveyed.
