Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk reportedly welcomed twin babies with one of his top executives named Shivon Zilis in November last year, just weeks before he had his second child with Canadian singer Grimes via surrogacy.

The news was revealed by a Business Insider report after they gained access to court documents in which the pair filed a petition to change their twins’ names in order to have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name. A Texas judge apparently approved the petition a month later. According to her LinkedIn profile, 36-year-old Shivon Zilis is the director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, which is co-founded and chaired by Elon Musk.

She also serves as a board member at artificial-intelligence research firm OpenAI, which was co-founded by the Tesla CEO. Elon Musk now has nine children, including his two kids with ex-girlfriend Grimes and five kids with his ex-wife and Canadian author Justine Wilson. Grimes and Musk welcomed their second child via a surrogate in December 2021, months after claiming to be semi-separated.
