Tesla/SpaceX CEO and billionaire Elon Musk secretly welcomed his second child - a daughter - with ex-girlfriend and Canadian singer Grimes via a surrogate in December last year. The couple named their baby girl Exa Dark Sideræl Musk.

Grimes admitted that they simply call her ‘Y’ at home. During the singer’s interview with Vanity Fair, the magazine reporter supposedly heard a baby crying upstairs, leading Grimes to confirm the birth of her second child with the Tesla CEO. Grimes, who had experienced complications during her first pregnancy, decided to take the help of a surrogate this time around. Explaining that she didn’t mean for them to find out about her child, Grimes requested privacy for her daughter in a series of tweets.

“This is the last time I’ll do any traditional press cuz I’m a pretty private person. Haven’t done press in a long time cuz my personal life is so mad and I think it’s hard to foreground my work but also maybe it’s all intertwined at this point A lot of the projects I’m working on didn’t make it into the article but they’ll be out soon enough! Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life,” the singer wrote.

Elon Musk announced his separation from Grimes in September 2021, with whom he also shares a two-year-old son named ‘X AE A-Xii.’ The billionaire CEO has five sons with his first wife, author Justine Musk. He was also married to British actress Talulah Riley twice.
