Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has been accused of sexually harassing a flight attendant on a private jet in 2016. A report also claimed that SpaceX, the rocket company founded by Elon Musk, paid the woman $250,000 in a severance settlement following the allegation.
As per documents and interviews obtained by Business Insider, the attendant, who was a cabin crew member contracted to work for SpaceX’s corporate jet fleet, accused Elon Musk of exposing his private parts to her, rubbing her leg without consent and offering to buy her a horse if she performed an erotic massage. In response to the claims, Musk said that “those wild accusations are utterly untrue.”
Calling the source of the story a liar, the Tesla CEO asserted that the incident never happened. “The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech,” he wrote in a separate tweet.
Elon Musk also described the flight attendant’s friend as a “far left activist/actress in LA with a major political axe to grind.” He mentioned, “But I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me ‘exposed’ — describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public. She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened.”
