Renowned business magnate, investor and engineer Elon Musk of SpaceX, Tesla opened up on the works for BFR, a much larger launch vehicle than his previous powerful rocket Falcon Heavy. Stating that good progress has been made on the ship and the booster, Elon hopes to see the first test flights the following year.
While Elon’s company SpaceX has scheduled the first Mars cargo flight in 2022, human travel to the planet has been set at 2024. Pertaining to human life on Mars, Elon with a tinge of humour thrown in says: ‘Difficult, dangerous, good chance you will die, exciting if you survive.’
Opining that Mars will have abundant entrepreneurial opportunities, Elon Musk also stated ‘Mars is going to need everything from iron foundaries to pizza joints’. Musk also called on for a regulatory oversight of Artificial Intelligene in this respects as ‘AI is far more dangerous than nukes’ according to him. ‘We have to figure out some way that the advent of digital super-intelligence is somehow symbiotic with humanity,’ Elon added.
