Since last few weeks, Iranian women have been protesting against morality police for their rights to wear clothes of their choice. The movement sparked up after the death of a 22 year old woman in police custody after she failed to cover her head with a scarf properly. Several celebs around the world have supported this movement and recently actress Elnaaz Norouzi has also showed her support to Iranian women in a unique way.
Elnaaz, who is an Iranian actress known for her performance in 'Sacred Games', decided to strip down to a bikini and shared a message on her Instagram. Sharing a video of herself changing from a brukha to a bikini, Elnaaz wrote, "Every woman, anywhere in the world, regardless of where she is from, should have the right to wear whatever she desires and when or wherever she desires to wear it. No man nor any other woman has the right to judge her or ask her to dress otherwise."
She further added, "Everyone has different views and beliefs and they have to be respected. Democracy means the power to decide...Every Woman should have the power to decide over her own body. I am not promoting nudity, I am promoting freedom of choice."
Few days back, actress Priyanka Chopra had also expressed her support for Iranian women in their fight against the morality police.
