It's known that Election Commission of India has been taking proactive measures to increase voter turnout in elections. Ahead of the Assembly polls in States like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in 2013 and the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, the ECI undertook a massive voter awareness campaign because of which women voters turned out in larger numbers than ever.

Ahead of the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu this year, it is working to rope in certain Kollywood faces in its campaign. Actors Karthi and Nayanthara have shot for awareness videos, while videos featuring cricketers Ravichandran and Dinesh Karthik are already doing rounds in social media.

Now Suriya, on his official Twitter handle, has shared a dubsmash video where he enacts Rajinikanth`s popular Muthu dialogue followed by a message urging the voters to exercise their franchise.

The question is, will Telugu stars play ball when it's election time in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana? In the recently held GHMC polls, many stars like Nagarjuna, the Manchu family scions, among others, posted pics of their casting the vote on the polls day. Maybe, they will be more than happy to team up with ECI for a noble cause.
