Election dates out, counting for 5 states on same date

The schedule for the upcoming Assembly Elections in different states is out. Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat has made the announcement of dates on Saturday.

Telangana will go to polls on December 7, and counting will take place on the 11th of that month.  Rajasthan shares the same date.  

In Madhya Pradesh, it’s going to be a single-phase poll on November 28.  On the same date, Mizoram, too, will go to polls.  It’s a two-phase election in Chhattisgarh on different dates in November.

“Counting of votes to be done on December 11 for Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana state assembly elections,” EC has said.
