After a lot of delay, the Tamil Film Producer Council election is all set to take place in November. As per reports, Election Officer M Jayachandran who had been appointed by the High Court has now announced that the TFPC elections will be held on November 22.

It has further been informed that the final voter list for the 2020-22 elections will be announced on November 12. The venue of the election will be MGR Janaki College, Adayar, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

It must be noted that the tenure of the team led by Vishal, who was the previous president of the Tamil Film Producers Council ended on April 30, 2019. A special officer was appointed by the Tamil Nadu Commerce Department for handling administrative works since then. Besides, the Chennai High Court had dismissed the case filed by Vishal against the appointment of a separate officer.
