'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' for Gandhiji

This year, Mahatma Gandhiji shall have a special tribute on his birth anniversary. Our team has found that a 21 gunshot salute is being planned to honour the father of the nation. This present is being dedicated towards Bapu by the movie team of 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami'.
The event will be held at Bandstand at the Gandhiji Statue today, on the 2nd of October, where real cannons would be part of the special gift. Along with this the team would also be felicitating 11 common people who have worked for the society and their efforts have gone unnoticed.
Confirming the event producer Abhinav Shukla said, "Gandhiji has had a huge influence on our lives. Probably that also seeped into the way we saw the film shaping up. It is a story about the triumph of the common man told through a very interesting father-son relationship and bears the message of honesty."
Director Ravindra Gautam stated, "As we complete the film we believe we have much to thank Gandhiji for. We know he has got it earlier too but we feel an ekkees toppon ki salaami is still the most apt gift we could have come up."
A comedy-satire, 'Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami' stars Anupam Kher, Divyendu Sharma, Manu Rishi, Aditi Sharma and Neha Dhupia. The film releases on Oct 10.
