Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena
The trend of cool glossy flicks revolving around crime started with Kaante a few years back. A pioneer of style, substance and gloss, Sanjay Gupta knew how to present even a crime scene in the most eye candy fashion as possible. Since then there have been number of such flicks that catch your attention with the very first promo - Qayamat, Plan, Musafir, Dus, Chocolate and now Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena [EKEH] being a few of them.
Directed by debutant Suparn Verma, EKEH is a Pritish Nandi Communications' latest venture. PNC have been associated with number of different subjects in the recent past and this time they go for a popcorn movie that promises to be a complete time pass entertainer.
Fardeen Khan is Arjun Verma, a man who considers himself to the biggest conman of all times and believes that he is 'sabse bada khiladi' [the biggest players of all]. Does he manage to stick on this position forever or is he ever dismantled from there?
Koena Mitra is Natasha Kapoor, a woman, who Arjun believes is his accomplice. But is that really the case? Or is this 'haseena' trying to outwit the 'khiladi'?
Feroz Khan is Jahangir Khan and as the name suggests, rules the Asian continent. He is the most powerful, is suave, savvy and stylish. He is a smooth talker and the most powerful power broker. He controls the politics of numerous countries and remains untouched by law. Would he be threatened by Arjun, or would he teach 'sabse bada khiladi' that he is a 'baap' when it comes to being 'khiladiyon ka khiladi'!
Life brings the three lead protagonists together to set path for a high speed rollicking 'con' ride ever!
An overconfident Arjun believes that he has seen it and done all. Charming and witty as he is, he knows how to turn tables around on a stage en route to executing a con job. He believes he is the best but little did he know that he had a competition somewhere. And now he has to do a last con job of his lifetime.
A con job that won't fetch him millions, but something else which is priceless - his life!
Natasha is a psychiatrist who wants to move out of her text book lessons and learn from 'reality'! She wants to read a human mind and what better way to do that than to learn how the mind of a criminal. She joins the gang of Arjun, learns a few cool tricks from there and becomes a good student.
But soon she became big enough to teach a lesson or two to everyone around!
Rohit Roy, Amin Haji and Mukul Dev play Arjun's fast friends and partners in crime. While Arjun makes strategic decisions and designs a path for success, Rohit, Amin and Mukul work at an operational level to execute the impossible! Fake currency, passports, credits cards - name it and you have everything that is required to threaten the government machinery.
But this time they have to do something very basic but difficult - save Arjun's life!
While everyone in the gang feel they are the best, their is also Sikandar [Gulshan Grover], who emerges as an eternal BAD MAN. A man who is a living legend. A man who is undefeated. A man who rules the city, if not the continent. A man who is considered to be immortal.
And then he meets Arjun, and a plan for a new con game is born....
One of the pivotal characters in the story is Kaif [Kay Kay], who is the trusted lieutenant of Sikandar and controls the stock market in his closed palm. He is also a friend of Arjun's gang but still Arjun needs to be careful about him!
Why? Because he is the next target in line for Kaif....
