Eeramana Rojave director Thai Selvam passes away suddenly - Priya Bhavani Shankar mourns

Director Thai Muthuselvam, who directed Vijay TV's super hit serials including 'Eeramana Rojave' passed away today due to sudden illness. Several small screen celebrities are condoling his demise on social media.
Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar who made her acting debut in Thai Selvam's ' Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai' has mourned his passing away. She wrote on Twitter "The demise of ThaiMuthu Selvam sir the director of KMKV, brings back so many memories.The man was known for his temper but to me he was always patient letting me do mistakes&learn.After a very long time,I feel empty inside me,not knowing what to say&how to feel. Rest in peace sir".
Thai Selvam made his directorial debut with the Tamil film 'Newtonin Moondram Vidhi' released in 2009 and starring SJ Surya in the lead role. Subsequently, he directed 'Mounaragam' serial broadcast on Vijay TV in 2017. The succes made him helm several other serials most of which were superhits.
While 'Mounaragam' ran for 863 episodes, the 2018 serial 'Nam Iruvar Nakhu Iruvar' crossed 579 episodes which was discontinued due to the corona virus. However a sequal was aired. Thai Selvam's other credits include 'Kathu Karuppu', Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai', 'Pavam Ganesan' and 'Eeramana Rojave'. He has also worked as a writer for the film 'Aavi Kumar'. Thai Selvam, was currently directing 'Eeramana Rojave' when the end came. RIP!
