Eeram
Director Shankar's S Pictures is ready with its next venture- 'Eeram'. The film, directed by debutant Arivazhagan, has Aadhi of 'Mirugam' fame, Nandaa, Sindhu Menon and Saranya Mohan in the lead.
Says Arivazhagan, a former associate of Shankar, "Having worked under Shankar, I know how to extract the best from my artistes. Also I am doing my first film for a big banner and there is a lot of responsibility".
The movie is a makeover for Aadhi, who played a ruffian in his maiden Tamil venture 'Mirugam'. He looks every inch a middleclass college- goer in `Eeram'. The whole film is set in a rainy season.
On the film, Nandaa says, "The movie has come out well. All of us have a role to play. Arivazhagan's hard work will yield results".
'Producer' Shankar says, "It is a romantic-thriller which is more like a Hitchcock film. I was moved to tears watching the film recently. Credit goes to the director and his team for coming up with a quality entertainer"
Arivazhagan is thrilled to get appreciation from his mentor. "I am indebted to Shankar. He was the one who shaped up me as a filmmaker," Arivazhagan says and adds: "But `Eeram' offer is purely on merit. I met him and presented him details about the film like how I would have had to with any other producer."
Cinematography is by Manoj Pramahamsa, who is currently working in Goutham Menon's 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya'. Music is by Thaman, the bubbly boy in Shankar's 'Boys'.
