Eega

Eega has burned into our consciousness, silently and surely.  The daunting figure created through graphics and the effect achieved by a Scorpio Crane (used for the first time in Tollywood), this Rs. 20 cr wonder is set to hit the screens this April.

The villain kills the hero (Nani, whose role is said to last just 40 minutes).  He reincarnates as a fly (Eega) and traumatises his killer.  Call it Past Life Regression effect or the Magadheera 'syndrome', the fly clearly remembers its previous life!  We guess that there is a love story and Sudeep kills Nani for the sake of Samantha. If the punch lines (Unexpressed love, Untamed lust, Murderous Jealousy, Revenge reborn) are anything to go by, the film has lots of emotions in store.

Just the graphics, it is said, have cost Rs. 5.5 cr.  To be released in Telugu, Tamil (straight) and Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi (dubbed), Eega is the most popular film from a Telugu director in recent times.

Dailogues are by M Ratnam.  Cinematography is by Senthil Kumar.  Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.  Art is by S Ravindar.  Styling is by Rama Rajamouli.  Music is by Keeravani.
