Schools all over the nation stopped functioning owing to the ongoing covid pandemic. The educational institutions were closed in March 2020 after the Corona outbreak at the end of 2019. They have been remaining shut and functioning online via online classes since last year.
After the first wave of the pandemic ended, schools started to function partially for the students of +1 and +2 by February. Unfortunately, the students and the teachers were infected by the Coronavirus after reopening.
Once again, The schools were shut followed by the outbreak of the second wave of the pandemic. The second wave was more dangerous and the mortality rate in India reached sky-high. All the educational institutions continuing online classes till now.
The fatal second wave has reduced now. "The dangers of a third wave are still high," says the medical experts. But the state government is thinking about reopening the schools because the previous wave has ended and enough amount of people has had their vaccination completed.
Anbil Mahesh, the Educational Minister of Tamilnadu, has informed the media that the government is discussing the reopening of the schools for students of 9th standard to 12th standard.
