This particular Kannada film ‘Edakallu Guddada Mele’ came to the notice only after demise of ‘Edakallu Gudda Chandrasekhar’ in Canada sometime ago. Edakallu Chandrasekhar has also acted in this film and this is his last film before departure from earth.

The team of this film has suddenly become attentive and making preparations to release the film quickly. Sri Sai Siddi Productions JP Prakash production has completed the background score for the film at Rajesh Ramanath studio. The shoot for the film was held at Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi and Bengaluru for forty five days.

Edakallu Guddada Mele has woman oriented subject. It is the life of a woman who is deceived from parental love and spends most of her time at her office. Vivin Soorya has written story, screenplay and directed the film.

Ashik Arun music, Shanker cinematography, Vijay M Kumar editing and Sada dance part of the technical team of this film.

Veteran actors Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Edakallu Gudda Chandrasekhar, Dr Srinath, Sumithra, Dattanna, Moogu Suresh, Chidanand, Bhavyasri Rai, Jyothi Rai, Veena Sunder, Lakshmi Siddaiah, Padmaja Rao, Sihikahi Chandru, Ravi Bhat, Usha Bhandari, Dharmendra, Swathi Sharma, Pragathi, Vybhavi, Meghana, Nakul and others are in the cast.
