One of the top ranking films of Kannada cinema history of 83 years is Edakallu Guddada Mele` in the direction of SR Puttanna Kanaga. This 1973 movie starring Jayanthi and Chandrasekhar is memorable for lovely songs. The song Viraha Nooru Nooru Taraha….is evergreen song and from this film Chandrasekhar became Edakallu Chandrasekhar`. It was a tragic love story cinema.

After 44 years the same cinema title is repeated with artists Dr Jayanthi, Abhinaya Sharade and Edakallu Chandrasekhar working again. Vivin Soorya is directing this film. Arathi was part of that yesteryears cinema; we have Bharathi Vishnuvardhana taking up the role. In the Shivaram role, there is Dattanna. The content is completely different.
