Kapil Sibal, who is arguing for P Chidambaram in the INX Media money-laundering case, today told the Supreme Court that the Enforcement Directorate notes related to the case was the basis for the recently Delhi High Court orders. "These notes were not given to my client. Instead, a copy was leaked to the media," Sibal said.

Sibal added that the former Union Minister has been subjected to a trial by the media. "The CBI has not given us any documents," he noted.

The probing agencies have not asked any questions to PC about the shell companies' bank accounts, Sibal informed.

The Supreme Court, importantly, has not listed PC's petition that challenged the CBI custody. No relief from CBI's arrest exists for now because the pleas are infructuous.
