Sanjay Khanduri's directorial effort EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL may have postponed its arrival to May 18 but that hasn't deterred the film to continue being in news.

The latest to come is Sanjay's claim about the film bearing resemblance to PULP FICTION. Well, not literally, but at least as far as characterization is involved.

Since the film revolves around the journey of Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia from mid-night till very early in the morning, it sees the two coming across diverse characters - some light hearted, some really dark. There are some characters belonging to the latter variety which are expected to scare not just the protagonists but even the audience, though be assured to have some nervous giggles too.

Says Sanjay, "You have heard it right. I had the images of PULP FICTION in my mind ever since I had seen it and there was this inspiring sense in me to incorporate the elements somewhere. Thankfully my film is a dark comedy and it was imperative for me to pay tribute and use some character references of the classic into my film as well."
