Smoking habit has lead to the health impacts in many people, and the latest such incident is quite unexpected, as an e-cigarette blast has lead to a man's face getting damaged. David Bishop from Cordova had lighted an e-cigarette last year, and as he pressed the button, the lithium battery exploded, and pieces of the cigarette harmed his face.
As per the law suit filed by him recently, it has been mentioned that the freak incident damaged his teeth, besides also ripping off flesh from upper lip to lower left cheek. The battery acid splashed also injured his hands, mouth and legs as per the law suit, and he required 65 stitches on face.
Bishop has filed law suit against the E-Cigarette companies and the lithium battery companies, and as the companies have denied the charges, a jury trial is expected next year. Since 2007, e-cigarettes have become common among US youngsters, and as per reports, the use of lithium batteries in e-cigarettes are not advisable.
